Playing Live Casino Holdem is just like playing standard Casino Holdem only there is a real live person dealing the cards and running the game. If you have never played Casino Holdem, it is a variant of Texas Holdem created as a casino table game. With the popularity of Texas Holdem, Casino Holdem has quickly became a favorite among casino players and now you can play online with a live dealer just as you would in a brick and mortar casino.
The object of Casino Holdem is to beat the dealer by creating your best poker hand out of the 7 cards you are able to use. As long as you beat the dealer you win, however if the dealer "Qualifies" and you win you are paid odds depending on the rank of your winning hand (the dealer Qualifies with a pair of 4's or better).
Casino Holdem begins by the Player (you) placing a bet called the "Ante". Then both you and the Dealer receive two cards face down and 3 cards are placed face up in the middle of table. These cards which are placed face up in the middle of the table are called "Community Cards". Community Cards can be used by everyone playing the game including you the player, the dealer and anyone else playing at the table. Now that you have 2 cards face down and 3 cards face up you must decide whether you will "Fold" or "Call". If you choose to Call you must bet 2x's your Ante amount.
Once you bet, 2 more Community Cards are placed face up adding to the previous 3 for a total of 5 cards. At this point you must make your best poker hand out of the 2 cards you were dealt face down and the 5 Community Cards dealt face up. You can use any combination of the 7 cards to make your best poker hand. If the Dealer has a better poker hand than you the game is over and you lose your Ante and Call bet. If your hand is better than the dealers, if the dealer does not qualify you are paid even money on your Ante bet only, your Call bet is returned.
If the dealer does Qualify (having a pair of 4's or better) your Ante and Call bet are paid using the Casino Holdem Payout Chart. When playing live casino holdem (or any casino holdem) it is important that the dealer qualifies in order to win a substantial amount of money. You can win as much as 100:1 on your bet but if the dealer does not qualify you are always paid even money on your Ante bet no matter what hand you may hold.
